We’re excited to announce that Sara Pratley has joined the company as Vice President of Global Intelligence. In this new role, Sara will lead the team responsible for monitoring emerging threats and incidents worldwide and providing actionable intelligence to help thousands of AlertMedia customers keep their people safe and informed.

While threat monitoring is not new for AlertMedia, the hiring of Sara Pratley shows that we are doubling down on our commitment to helping organizations protect their people and business from nearby risk, anywhere in the world. At AlertMedia, we believe that emergency communication software can save more lives when it serves as a proactive solution during emergencies—rather than a reactive solution. Our threat monitoring enables organizations to drastically reduce their time-to-action by detecting, analyzing, and alerting their employees and safety leaders to nearby critical events in real-time. This turnkey solution combines intel with action—a single source for actionable, trusted intelligence, and our powerful multi-channel notification capabilities.

The Global Intelligence Team will serve as the eyes and ears for AlertMedia customers all over the world. These experienced analysts will curate need-to-know breaking news on a global and local scale and distill that information into digestible, actionable summaries. Any critical event happening on earth, Sara and her team will make sure our customers and their users know about it quickly so that they can prevent loss and save lives.

Sara joins AlertMedia from CNN, the global news organization with a multi-platform reach of two billion people, where she was Vice President of National News for CNN’s domestic newsgathering unit. During her decade in leadership at CNN, Sara oversaw the network’s multi-platform coverage and was known for her outstanding leadership in breaking news. She led the network’s coverage of major events, including the Boston Marathon bombings, Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting, several destructive natural disasters, and more.

Sara’s strong leadership skills and ability to introduce new processes helped her team successfully reach and expand storytelling to a fast-growing audience. Her ability to assess, analyze, and decipher information to provide actionable intelligence to our customers is incredibly unique. In fact, Sara is one of a dozen people in the world with this skillset—and she is exactly the expert we were looking for to lead our Global Intelligence Team.

As excited as we are to have Sara as a member of the AlertMedia team, she is equally thrilled to be in a position to further our mission of saving lives and minimizing loss: “AlertMedia allows me to take the skills I’ve honed in the media industry and apply them to a company that is also making a difference in the world. It’s evident to me in the short time I’ve been here that AlertMedia employees really believe in the product and the mission. Their dedication to each other and to our customers is palpable.”

Sara joins AlertMedia as the company is experiencing significant growth, which it credits to the product’s ease of use and fully integrated threat intelligence solution–all critical components to a customer’s ability to respond faster under the pressures of a real emergency.

“Dangerous threats and catastrophic incidents are continuously emerging around the world. Our team helps companies sort through the noise, so they can quickly understand the risk to their employees and proactively communicate to improve safety,” explained Brian Cruver, CEO of AlertMedia. “As a journalist and news leader, Sara excels at bringing fast and accurate information to a global audience. Her extensive experience in curating and communicating information will play a major role in expanding AlertMedia’s ability to provide actionable intelligence to our customers.”

We are thrilled to have Sara join AlertMedia and are excited to see the impact she makes on our company, our products, and our customers. The hiring of Sara Pratley showcases AlertMedia’s commitment to not only creating the best mass notification software in the world but also to leading the evolution of employee safety. By providing both the best source for actionable threat intelligence and the most intuitive emergency communication software, we are enabling our customers to change outcomes, prevent loss, and save lives.
