AlertMedia Named to Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies for 2nd Consecutive Year

AlertMedia was recognized by Inc. magazine as the fastest-growing software company in Austin.
Aug 12, 2020

Today, Inc. magazine revealed that AlertMedia, the world’s leading threat monitoring and emergency communication provider, ranked No. 520 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, which recognizes the fastest-growing private companies in the nation according to revenue growth.

This is the second year in a row that Inc. has recognized AlertMedia for its explosive growth, and Inc.’s second recognition of AlertMedia this year. In May, Inc. named AlertMedia as one of the Best Workplaces of 2020 after evaluating more than 3,000 companies on metrics including trust, management effectiveness, perks, and confidence in the future.

The Inc. 5000 recognition comes as AlertMedia has experienced accelerating growth through the first half of 2020. AlertMedia raised a $15 million Series C funding round in April 2020 and has leveraged that funding for continued product innovation and to support its recent hiring push. AlertMedia credits its growth to its ability to respond to the market’s unwavering need: to easily and effectively communicate with employees during critical events like severe weather, workplace violence, and the current COVID-19 pandemic.

“Our growth is fueled by our product’s ease of use, vast target market, and passionate employees,” said Brian Cruver, CEO of AlertMedia. “The pandemic highlighted the need for companies to have robust and easy-to-use critical communications technology, which is exactly what we provide.”

Every company faces critical events that have the potential to impact its employees and business. AlertMedia’s two-way messaging system and monitoring services help keep employees safe, informed, and connected throughout these events. Thousands of organizations, including Walmart, DHL, and H-E-B, utilize the AlertMedia platform to monitor threats and rapidly communicate with their people.

Methodology

The 2020 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2016 and 2019. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2016. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2019. The minimum revenue required for 2016 is $100,000; the minimum for 2019 is $2 million.
