Justin Akers has served as an FBI Special Agent for more than 18 years, investigating terrorism and cyber threats around the world. He currently leads the FBI’s cyber task force in Austin, focused on cybercrime investigations.
Austin CruzDirector of Innovation and Healthcare Resilience, Riffle Resilience
Austin Cruz is a former firefighter turned resilience leader who advises organizations on preparing for, responding to, and recovering from major crises. He now focuses on AI-driven business continuity, value stream mapping, and healthcare resilience planning.
Jeffrey DeanVice President of Global Security and Intelligence Operations, AlertMedia
Jeffrey Dean brings over 35 years of experience in enterprise security risk management, global security operations, travel and event security, emergency and incident management, and executive protection. He currently leads Global Security and Intelligence Operations at AlertMedia.

Tony Robinson leads disaster recovery and public policy initiatives at National EMR. Before joining National EMR, he retired after 40 years of federal service, including leadership roles with FEMA Region 6.

Peter Steinfeld is AlertMedia’s SVP of Safety Solutions and host of The Employee Safety Podcast. He has nearly 20 years of experience in emergency communications and advises organizations on employee safety and protecting their people.
Maurice “Mickie” WilliamsAVP of Operational Readiness and Response, USAA
Mickie Williams leads operational readiness and response at USAA, overseeing teams focused on emerging risks, crisis management, global operations, and critical supply chains. He previously served 29 years in the U.S. Army.

- Will parking be available? Attendees will be responsible for their own parking. Paid parking is available on site at AlertMedia headquarters or at any of the hotels recommended above.
- Will the event be available virtually? No, this is an in-person event designed to bring attendees together for live discussion, networking, and collaboration. A virtual option will not be available.
- Can non-ACP members or members from other chapters attend? The symposium is open to current paid ACP members, including members from chapters outside of Texas. Non-members will need to become paid ACP members before registering.
- Is there a cost to attend? There is no additional cost to attend the symposium for current paid ACP members. Space is limited, so attendees are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
