Statek Corporation Improves Employee Health and Safety While Maintaining Business Continuity

Headquartered in Orange County, California, Statek Corporation designs and manufactures a range of products for the medical industry, including parts needed to produce life-saving equipment such as ventilators, pacemakers, and infusion pumps. In 1970, Statek was the first to use semiconductor technology such as photolithography, chemical etching, and micromachining to manufacture quartz resonators in wafer form. Today, Statek remains the technological leader in the design and manufacturing of ultra-miniature quartz crystals, oscillators, and sensors.

As an essential business during the COVID-19 crisis, all of the organization’s 270 employees continue to report to work throughout the pandemic. As many workers in the company’s manufacturing facility don’t have regular access to email, Statek needed a fast, effective way to share COVID-19 guidelines and updates with employees. When Statek’s HR team was informed of a confirmed case of COVID-19 in its workforce over a weekend in April 2020, the company acted quickly. As Statek manufactures parts required to make life-saving medical equipment, the organization is considered an essential business, and its employees continue to work on-site throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
