AlertMedia, the fastest-growing emergency notification system provider in the world, is pleased to announce that it has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the 2017 Small Business category by the Austin Business Journal.

The honorary award recognizes companies in four categories according to size. The awards are based on confidential feedback from employees and measure the following dimensions: communication and resources, individual needs, manager effectiveness, personal engagement, team dynamics, and trust in leadership. AlertMedia was ranked the 5th best workplace within its category.

AlertMedia’s CEO, Brian Cruver states, “we are thrilled to be named among the Best Places to Work. For AlertMedia, this award is not just about chair massages and breakfast tacos – it’s about the important, often life-saving, work we are doing to help organizations communicate in critical situations.”

AlertMedia has adopted many innovative practices to ensure that a positive culture translates into long-term business value. Beyond the traditional perks of working at a fast-paced technology company, Cruver emphasizes team lunches, guest speakers, off-site parties, a book club, happy hours, contests, trips, massages, dinners with leadership, and a companywide bonus. In addition, employees participate in a handful of charity efforts that allow the company and employees to give back to the Austin community. “We have an incredible team that enjoys working together in a very open, collaborative environment. In the end, that beats all the other perks and benefits by far,” said Cruver.

The last year has been an extremely exciting and rewarding time as the company has continued to grow its global customer footprint, while extending its lead as the market leader in critical communications. AlertMedia looks forward to continued growth, and a continued emphasis on being a truly great place to work.
